How to read the share prices
Column Title | Description/ Explanation of the content in the column |
Code (also called Security) | Displays the stock code of the company. All companies are given a three-letter code when they list on a the PNG Exchange Market. The code represents the company name. |
Bid | Displays the highest price that an investor is willing to buy the shares. There are other buyers bidding to buy shares, however their bid prices will not appear because their bids are lower. |
Offer | Displays the lowest price an investor is offering to sell their shares. There are other sellers offering to sell shares, however their offer prices will not appear because their offers are higher. |
Last | Displays the last price an order was matched resulting in a trade. Please note that the trade could have taken place on the same day, the day before or the week before. |
Change | Displays the change from the previous trade to the last trade. For example, if the previous price was K1.00 and the last trade was K1.05, then the change would represent a price increase of 0.05t. |
High | Displays the highest share price that a trade has been executed on the market within a 52 week period. |
Low | Displays the lowest share price that a trade has been executed on the market within a 52 week period. |
